Mykonos Beaches II

Lia Beach, Mykonos, Greece

Ornos Beach: Kuzina Beach Bar & Pasaji

Ornos beach is my go to beach for when I want a quick dip in the water. It almost always very crowded both along the shore and in the water. Ornos bay is where many yachts anchor, therefore, there's typically a lot traffic in the area.

I often recommend this beach for families with younger kids as the waters are shallow and the sun loungers are fairly priced. There are a few restaurants, cafes, shops, and supermarkets within close walking distance from the beach which is always convenient. Tourists often ask me "which beach do the locals go to?" Ornos beach is where you'll find many locals and workers on the island.

Paraga Beach: Kalua Mykonos

Located in the southern part of Mykonos, Paraga's beaches are unique in nature due to the idyllic rock that's in the center of the sea. Apart from that, the beach (Kalua's beach in specific) lays between 2 big hills therefore creating a naturally protected space regardless of what direction the wind blows.

Kalua Beach Bar is my go to place when I'm in Paraga beach. The sun loungers are comfortable, service is amazing with friendly staff, the prices are super reasonable and the food is good. Just like the other beach bars on the island, the music gets louder between 15:00-16:00 and the crowd get pumping. They also have delicious hookah flavors and good music.

Kalua shares its beach with SantAnna Mykonos, very different vibes but next door neighbors. Sant Anna is the ideal place for those who are looking for a Las Vegas vibe. It's one of a kind on the island as it has a huge pool which where all the action happens. There aren't any other beach bars in Mykonos that have a pool, because why would you want to be in chlorine water when there's a sparkling clean fresh salt water sea in front of you? lol, to each their own. The pool parties start at 16:00 and feature artists: Tyga, Black Coffee, Themba, Jason Derulo, French Montana etc.

Scorpios Beach: Scorpios Mykonos

If there's anything you know about Mykonos, it's probably Scorpios. It is the most happening place on the island. Most people know of Scorpios for its sunset parties and restaurants, but a few know of their beach. Located in Paraga, southern part of Mykonos, the beach is beautifully wild, surrounded by rocks and Mediterranean plants. The beach is sectioned into 3: Oasis, Slope, and the Private beach. This is where the bougie travelers hang out, quite an experience to be pampered with Scorpios's service, which runs until 19:00. Being that Scorpios is affiliated with SoHo House, the beach is usually filled with members who prefer the beach over the pool at the Roc SoHo House Hotel.

Kalo Livadi Beach: Solymar Beach Bar

One of the longest shorelines in Mykonos, Kalo Livadi's beach comprises of golden sand and tiny pebbles that massage your feet, I love it! Located in the southeastern shore of Mykonos this beach has crystal clear open waters, making it ideal for jet ski riders who cruise around the bay. When the visibility is clear, you have beautiful views of the Aegean archipelago and the neighboring island, Naxos. This isn't the beach that I highly recommend for parties as its mostly a chill vibe, but they do have some good djs and a live singer on the weekends.
